Types of Braces

When you’re about to embark on your orthodontic journey, you want to be sure you select the best dental treatment for you. Here at Serino Orthodontics, we offer a variety of choices depending on your budget, your style, and the state of your teeth. If you’re interested in correcting the alignment of your teeth, take a look at the different options we specialize in and see for yourself which may be the right choice for you!

Damon Braces

Damon BracesA fairly new technology that was formulated and invented by Dr. Dwight Damon, this new design takes traditional braces into the future. Elastic or steel ties are no longer needed with Damon braces because its key characteristic is the use of the Damon bracket which allows the dental wire to be able to slide back and forth within the bracket. This means that you will not have to visit your orthodontist as frequently since a minor amount of adjustments are needed with this type of braces. Damon braces are also known to cut down the amount of treatment time!

Invisalign

Invisalign

This type of dental treatment is popular with those who want to straighten their teeth, but not have it immediately known to others that they’re using corrective dental work. These plastic aligners are molded to the shape of your teeth and are slowly transitioned with different aligners until your teeth are finally aligned.

Clear Braces

Clear Braces Clear braces are similar to traditional steel braces in almost every way except for one—they’re clear! The brackets are usually made from ceramic or porcelain and remain nearly undetectable. This is a popular choice for those looking for faster results through the treatment of braces, but choose to have clear brackets so that they’re not immediately noticeable. One fear from most patients is that the clear braces will eventually stain over time and become colored—this will not happen! Because of their material, the brackets will stay clear until the time that you elect to have them removed.
